- Philosophy at the Wivenhoe Bookshop. A course on ‘Life, The Universe and Everything’ starts on Saturday the 8th of September. The syllabus is here. To book, please contact the bookshop.
- At the Ipswich Institute, we will be reading J. S. Mill’s On Liberty (Mondays, 2–4pm, Sept. 17th – October 15th) and his The Subjection of Women (Thursdays, 2–4pm, November 1st – November 29th).
- At Brentwood’s Learning for Pleasure, I am teaching a five week course on freedom, starting Thursday September 20th. Here is the syllabus.
- I am a tutor at Tavistock Tutors and I am doing private tutoring. However: I do not help with assessed essays (for under many circumstances this would be cheating); nor will I help with plans for assessed essays (for this too could be cheating), unless students are prepared in insert an acknowledgement – and it would be wise to check that such an acknowledgement will not affect your mark.
